PINDAD AT DEFENSE SERVICES ASIA EXHIBITION (DSA) 2010, KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA

Located in Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) from April 19th to 22nd 2010, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, held the Defense Services Asia Exhibition (DSA) 2010 which followed by more than 730 exhibitors from various defense industries and companies worldwide. DSA Exhibition 2010 is the largest defense industry and security exhibition in Asia Pacific that show case a variety of competitive products and technological advances of security and defense industries from countries around the world.

PT. Pindad (Persero) as one of the defense industry which is engaged in metal manufacturing, became involved as a participant in the exhibition which is held every 2 (two) years and it was DSA 12th exhibition which held in 2010. In addition to exhibiting superior products of Pindad such as Panzer Anoa 6x6 Pindad (miniature), Assault Rifles of many variants also signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Indonesian government and Malaysian government and cooperation agreement.

The signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Pindad with SME Ordnance Sdn Bhd dated on 22 April 2010 was one of the agreements that resulted in the DSA 2010 exhibition. The MoU signing by the President Director of PT. Pindad (Persero) Adik Avianto Soedarsono and Executive Director of the SME Ordnance Sdn Bhd Tan Sri Dato 'Seri Mohd Shahrom, witnessed by Indonesian Defence Minister, State Owned Enterprises Minister, Prime Minister of Malaysia and Malaysian Defence Minister.

The signing of MoU aimed other than to establish a platform for both parties and the strengthening of the defense industry to work together in areas of common interests such as exchange of ideas, knowledge and expertise as well as a symbol of spirit among ASEAN member countries to collaborate, especially in the defense industry. At the end of the MoU signing, Indonesian Defence Minister, symbolically handed over assault rifles V1 and V5 to the Prime Minister of Malaysia and Malaysian Defence Minister.

In addition to signing the MoU and cooperation agreement, on DSA 2010 exhibition, Pindad also expanded relationships with several partners from abroad and within the country such as the Poongsan Corporation, Representative of the Euro Satory, Armscor Philippines, Pesaka Astana Sdn. Bhd., ND PressTec GmbH, PT. Amadani Ismaya Jaya, PT. Tiga Tunggal Sejati, Mercedes Benz-Daimler Ag, Wira Global Resources Sdn. Bhd., FNSS Savunma Sistemleri a.s and others.
