Pindad Held 71st National State Defense Day Commemoration Ceremony
All elements of the employees of PT Pindad (Persero) and its subsidiaries held a 71st National State Defense Day ceremony (Hari Bela Negara) at the Ceremony Field of the Main Directorate of PT Pindad Bandung Headquarters, Thursday (12/19/2019). Served as the Ceremony Inspector was the Director of Technology and Development, Ade Bagdja. The ceremony was also held at the Munitions Division, Turen Malang, led by the General Manager, Budhiarto.
The ceremony was begun by singing the march of PT Pindad (Persero) followed by the raising of the Indonesian flag and the delivering of the Mandate of the President of the Republic of Indonesia by the Ceremony Inspector.
In his mandate, President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo reminded the challenges faced by our nation and country which increasingly become heavier and varied in different shapes. As Bung Karno has reminded, modern warfare is not just a military war, but a war that engages all aspects of people's lives. Thus, it is not only the military that plays a role in building Indonesia's resilience, but also demands the role of all components of the country for the survival and integrity of the Republic of Indonesia.
The increasingly diverse threats, disturbances, obstacles and challenges facing this nation, we can only face them with a diversity of interrelated and complementary expertise. Herein lies the relevance of our determination to realize excellent Human Resources for the advancement of Indonesia that we planned as the theme of the 74th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia. Excellent Indonesian people are the main prerequisites for filling independence as the basis for our development in all fields.
Since 2018, the President of Indonesia has instructed the implementation of the National Defense Action Plan in various fields by involving all levels of Ministries / Institutions and Regional Institutions, as well as various elements of society as a form of appreciation for various Indonesian human expertise.
In the past few years, this country has and will continue to build all the infrastructure needed for the progress of the country, creating employment, encourage increased development resources, and reform the government bureaucracy. But again, the most important factor remains excellent human resources for the development of Indonesia.
Without the attitudes and behaviors of state defense, the management of our large and vast country with its abundant natural resources will not achieve the justice and prosperity aspired by the country's predecessors. Implementation of the state defense behavior must be carried out continuously by all components of society.
For those who serve in the government bureaucracy field, it is suggested that they continue to reform themselves and increase transparency and accountability in public services. Those who learn and teach, continue to improve the wisdom and community service based on national values.
The President also advised, for those who take the role of informing the news, continue to be an honest, act as balanced and responsible public information agent. Those who run businesses, continue to increase their competitiveness synergistically with all the objectives of the country. Likewise, the whole community with a variety of professions, make their respective fields of profession as a state defense field.
