Eradicted Drugs Crime, PT Pindad Supports BNN Weapon Modernization

PT Pindad (Persero) is committed to support the modernization program that will be carried out by the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency (BNN) in efforts to eradicate drugs crimes. This was explained by the Director of PT Pindad's Defense and Security Products Businesses, Heru Puryanto when receiving a BNN visit at the PT Pindad Headquarters in Bandung, West Java, Wednesday (11/3/2020).

Heru said that basically Pindad was always ready to provide what was needed according to the needs and was able to establish good cooperation in supporting weapons for the drug eradication efforts carried out by BNN.

 "We are sure that BNN and PT Pindad can have a good cooperation, of course we, as one of the state-owned defense equipment manufacturers always prioritize domestic needs," said Heru Puryanto. 

The visit of the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency led by the Principal Secretary of the National Narcotics Agency, Adhi Prawoto, at the same time carried out a trial of the modernization of weapons equipment that will be used later. He explained that currently drugs trafficking is very massive and expanded until the remote areas across the nation, for that BNN will continue to strengthen the Prevention of the Eradication of the Illicit Drug Abuse Circulation (P4GN). 

"BNN must be strong through the P4GN efforts, and we have so many limitations and one of them is weapons. Therefore, I am happy to be able to visit PT Pindad and allowed to test weapons. Besides, we also see other products made by PT Pindad." said Adhi. 

On the occasion, the group consisted of Main Secretary of BNN, Deputy of Law and Cooperation of BNN, Director of Enforcement and Pursuit of BNN, Director of Precursors and Psychotropics of BNN were invited to see and try directly several facilities and the production of combat vehicles and weapons.
