Giving Public Lecture, President Director of Pindad Invites UNG Students to Have Digital Competence

PT Pindad (Persero) Managing Director Abraham Mose gave a public lecture before the Gorontalo State University (UNG) academic community which was held at the UNG Main Auditorium, Gorontalo, Monday (08/19/2019). The theme presented was "Technology Transformation to Increase Nation's Competitiveness in the Industrial Age 4.0".

In front of 1000 participants consisting of UNG officials and students, Abraham highlighted the need to meet the quality of human resources owned by Indonesia, especially for engineering students. "Industry 4.0 requires us to be increasingly integrated in the Internet of Things platform. Therefore in the future engineering students must have digital competence and master technology," Abraham said.

On this occasion, Abraham gave an overview of Pindad today and his commitment in strategic innovation and vision to become a leading company. According to him, Pindad is currently in a positive trend to keep moving. High appreciation and enthusiasm from public lecture participants can be seen from the course of interesting discussions and the many questions that arise throughout the activity.

Meanwhile, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering UNG, DR. Eng Rifadly Bahsuan expressed his gratitude for the presence of Abraham Mose as the chief director of the red plate company which manufactures the only defense equipment in Indonesia. He hoped that in the future UNG students must have the skills to be able to compete later. "Welcome and thank you for the presence of Mr. Abraham. We hope that through this public lecture our students as technocrats in the future will have the ability to improve the nation's competitiveness in the industrial era 4.0," Rifadly said.

After the public lecture, the Director of PT Pindad together with the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering UNG signed a cooperation agreement in the field of education to continue the commitment of both parties. It is intended that the good relations that have been established remain maintained and increasingly synergized. Ending a series of activities, Abraham Mose along with UNG officials conducted a review of several new buildings and facilities that have been built by the UNG Faculty of Engineering. (Tomo)
