BRAHMASTRA

Brahmastra is an effective, efficient and accurate mortars’ firing support, and it has optimum power in giving solution for all mortars’ firing methods.

This product has several features that really support the troops to fire mortars accurately in a battle field. It is a fast and accurate equipment in determining the firing location, and therefore it saves time efficiently in firing. This equipment has a “SAVE” function for all prior steps and has “REPLAY” function to see the steps that have been done by the user so that review can be conducted to be an input in arranging the next steps.

Brahmastra has a display to show map, field graph, safe distance and tactical signs that is able to support the mortar firing to the fullest. It is also equipped with output of firing data and able to accommodate mortar firing method according to the military tactics. All these functions can make the operation of military equipment become easier in a battle field.

Brahmastra strongly supports the performance of artillery in the battlefield in doing long distance firing by using mortars. The advantage of this product is all of its features can support the troop’s performance in firing mortars effectively, efficiently and accurately.

Brahmastra was a joint project of PT Pindad (Persero) and the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT), and during its development there has not been found any significant obstacle.

Several components of Brahmastra are still imported such as LCD i.e. Sun Readable LCD with High Definition and core module while the rest components are assembled in PT Pindad (Persero). The software itself was made by the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT).

The internal test of this equipment was conducted by a team from PT Pindad (Persero). Meanwhile, Pusat Kesenjataan Infanteri or Pussenif (Infantry Weaponry Center) of Indonesian Army was involved in the external test. Certification of this equipment has not been conducted yet.
