SOEs Cluster Defense Industry – DEFEND ID hold training webinar for MSME partners

Bandung, June 22, 2021. TJSL SOEs Defense Industry held a Creative Preneurship training for SMEs in Pandemic Era. This virtual training was attended by approximately 200 fostered partners of each Defense Industry on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. This training is part of an effort so that SMEs of fostered partners can develop and advance to class even in the midst of Covid-19 pandemic.

SOEs Defense Industry is committed to continue to make improvements to the management, coaching, and mentoring of fostered partners to improve the quality of fostered partners’ businesses to be even better. According to Krisna Cahyadianus as the Chief Executive of this activity as well as Corporate Secretary of PT Pindad (Persero) said this activity is an effort to help the SMEs of the fostered partners to develop.

“This is part of ongoing efforts of the SOEs Defense Industry to assist the fostered partners to become better, move up class and go international,” said Krisna.

Also attending virtually the event were Assistant Deputy of TJSL of Ministry of SOEs Agus Suharyono, Director of Finance and Human Resources of PT Dahana (Persero) Asmorohadi, Director of General and Human Resources of PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero) Sukatwikanto, as well as TJSL officials of each SOEs Defense Industry. This event is a form of collaboration between TJSL PT Len Industri (Persero), PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero), PT Pindad (Persero), PT Dahana (Persero) and PT PAL Indonesia (Persero).

Asmorohadi in his speech hoped that the participants who took part in this training could be motivated in developing their business with inputs from spokeperson.

“Hopefully the training that we, as a holding can bring our fostered partner MSME to grow an ddevelop together and remain enthusiastic and not give up, even though the current situation is still in the Covid-19 condition,” said Asmorohadi.

The same thing was conveyed by the Assistant Deputy of TJSL of the Ministry of SOEs, Agus Suharyono. According to him, maintaining a business in this current state of Covid-19 pandemic is indeed quite difficult, but if hand in hand they contribute to each other, he is sure that all can survive in the current conditions.

“Hopefully the presence of SOEs TJSL program can help in the development of MSMEs and improve quality of the fostered partners,” said Agus Suharyono.

Delivering Solutions

On this occasion, the committee presented three speakers who would present material with different themes. Mutia Tri Satya, S.Sos., M.Sc., MSM., CT. delivered material with the theme of Entrepreneurship through social media, Dr. Hanifah, SE., Ak., CA., M.Si., QIA., CACP., CAPM., CAPF. Brought material about simple bookkeeping, and Dr. Ayi Tejaningrum, SE., MT. provide motivation in entrepreneurship.

In her material, Mutia Tri Satya shares tips to increase sales by utilizing social media. According to Mutia, one of the challenges for business actors during current condition is the decrease in income due to the decrease of people’s purchasing power.

“One solution to increase sales is to expand promotions using social media by taking advantage of new consumer trends who want easy and practical shopping,” said Mutia.

To attract potential consumers to visit our social media and see our merchandise is to make photos of the product display made attractive and given information that is easily understood by potential customers.

“Don’t forget to look for other products that have potential to increase our sales, follow the market’s interest in a product,” said Mutia.

In the next material session, Hanifah taught the participants about how important income bookkeeping is in doing a business using Lamikro application developed by the Ministry of Cooperative and SMEs.

“Mani MSME business actors underestimate financial bookkeeping, evem though by doing financial bookkeeping we can see the profit and see about profit and loss of our business and make a plan in our business development for the future,” explained Hanifah.

The last session, all of the participants received motivational encouragement in entrepreneurship from Ayi Tejaningrum. Ayi explained that many factors affect a person’s success in doing business. Of these factors, the most important factor is our consistency and happiness in running the business.
