Ambassador Candidates of LBBP RI visit Pindad, deepen the understanding of defense industry

Chief Business of Defense and Security Product officer of PT Pindad (Persero), Wijil Jadmiko Budi and Chief of Business Strategy of PT Pindad (Persero), Syaifuddin welcomed a visit of LBBP RI (Extraordinary Plenipotentiary) Ambassador Candidates led by the General Secretary of Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cecep Herawan which was held on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Pindad Auditorium Bandung.

The purpose of this visit is to provide a briefing to 33 (thirty three) LBBP RI Ambassador Candidates regarding Domestic Defense Industry. During the visit, opened a discussion forum related to the strategy and potential of Pindad both in terms of marketing, cooperation and development in the international arena. In addition, the visit to PT Pindad (Persero) was intended to directly review various products and production facilities of Indonesian Defense Industry.

Chief Business of Defense and Security Product officer of PT Pindad (Persero), Wijil Jadmiko Budi expressed his gratitude for the visit of LBBP RI Ambassador Candidates with the General Secretary of Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Wijil said that the candidates for Indonesian ambassador was given knowledge about PT Pindad’s products, both defense and industrial products.

“We hope that with this visit of Ambassador Candidates, discussion and seeing our productsm Pindad can be promoted wherever you are placed. We have competence in field of defense and security, called products of munitions, weapons and special vehicles. Our weapon and munitions have been tested in various international competitions and our vehicle products have been trusted by United Nations for various peacekeeping missions,” Wijil explained.

In his remarks, the General Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Cecep Herawan expressed his gratitude for the welcome given by Pindad. Cecep Herawan explained that LBBP RI Ambassador Candidates need information and enlightenment related to Indonesian defense industry.

“In this visit, the aim is to get a little in depth and want to know about the domestic defense industry, called PT Pindad (Persero). We, from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also work closely with the Ministry of SOEs to continue to encourage and support SOEs to Go Global and compete in international arena. In the future, I hope that Ambassador Candidates who are present this time will be able to comprehensively promote various Pindad product,” he explained.

As it is known that this LBBP RI Ambassador Candidates will be placed in various countries around the world, including Saudi Arabia, Armenia, Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Philippines, India, Canada, Kazakhstan, Croatia, Kuwait, Nepal, Poland, Portugal, New Zealand, Slovakia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Timor Leste, Tunisia, Jordan and others.

After listening to a brief description of Pindad’s profile, the activity was then continued by visiting the production facilities of PT Pindad (Persero).
