The Directorate of Bridge, Ministry of PUPR, Conducts an Examination of the Excavator Procurement Co

PT Pindad (Persero) received a visit from the Bridge Directorate of the Ministry of PUPR on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at the head office of Pindad Bandung led by the Head of the Sub-Directorate of Planning and Programming of the Bridge Directorate of the Ministry of PUPR, Bowo Sudiatmanto, and was greeted by the Chief Executive Officer of PT Pindad (Persero), Abraham Mose who was accompanied by Chief Business of Industrial Product Officer, Heri Heriswan.

This visit was carried out to see the extent of the manufacturing process for the Pindad Excava 200 (20 ton) excavator of 20 units, with a contract value of IDR 28,056,000,000,- (twenty-eight billion and fifty-six million rupiah).

Excavators will be donated to outstanding regional offices to help in developing region infrastructure to support economic equity and disaster mitigation.

In his remarks, Abraham Mose expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Ministry of PUPR for consistently prioritizing the use of domestic products.

"Thank you for the trust of the Ministry of PUPR for domestic products. It is Pindad's commitment that in its implementation if there are deficiencies, complaints and suggestions are conveyed to continue to develop product quality because we prioritize service to consumers," said Abraham.

Abraham also hope that the well-established cooperation will continue and provide benefits for the nation.

Meanwhile Bowo Sudiatmanto expressed his appreciation for Pindad. This ongoing procurement contract is the second time a contract after once was carried out in 2018.

"Insyaallah, next year there will be more (purchases) to Pindad, in accordance with the direction of the PUPR Minister to use heavy domestic products," explained Bowo.

The event continued with a review of Pindad's heavy equipment production facilities and the product variants it has produced. As for the excavator variant, Pindad has produced Excava Amphibious, Mini Excavator and Long Arm. Pindad will continue to develop industrial products to support national development.
