Anti-Narcotics Director of Colombian National Police Visited Pindad

Anti Narcotics Director of Colombian Police, Jorge Luis Ramirez Aragon and Colombian Ambassador to Indonesia Juan Camilo Valencia Gonzalez accompanied by the Head of National Anti-Narcotics Agency (BNN), Heru Winarko visited PT Pindad (Persero) on Thursday, October 10th, 2019 at Pindad headquarters. The visit was to follow up on the previous visit of the Colombian Delegation and to review various defense and security products and the company's production facilities. The Managing Director, Abraham Mose, accompanied by the Director of Technology & Development, Ade Bagdja and echelon 1 officials directly received a group of 17 people in the Directorate Room.

In his greeting, Abraham Mose welcomed the arrival of the Director of Anti Narcotics and the Delegation of Colombia and conveyed information on various defense and security products owned by Pindad.

"Pindad is a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) under the Ministry of BUMN and we are the only BUMN in Indonesia that produces military equipment components including weapons, munitions and combat vehicles. We produce pistols, various variant assault rifles, various caliber munitions to combat vehicles both 4x4, 6x6, 8x8 and medium tanks, "Abraham said.

Meanwhile, Jorge Luis Ramirez Aragon explained his unit's duty in Colombia in the fight against drugs.
"One of my responsibilities is to combat the circulation of narcotics. Colombia has experienced more than 50 years of bitter experience with narcotics. The Colombian National Police is 120 years old, consisting of 155 thousand personnel. As a police, it becomes the front line to face threats, "Jorge said.

Jorge Luis Ramirez Aragon also said the purpose of his visit was to find out more about the various defense and defense products made by Pindad that could help fight drugs.

"We visited Pindad to find out the equipment it had. Of course we also want to share our experience and knowledge in combating narcotics, "continued Jorge.

The group then visited the Special Function Vehicle, Weapons and inspected Pindad Excavators. Jorge Luis Ramirez Aragon and representatives of the Colombian delegation tried to directly drive the Tiger and Ranpur Anoa 6x6 Medium Tanks and tried various weapons made by Pindad such as SS2 V4 and SS2 V7 subsonic.
