Women Role in Leading and Inspiring
Nowadays, the roles of women in various fields are almost equal to men. Women have proven could give a powerful and meaningful change and inspiration to their surroundings, and better than that, those experiences could be shared with the others. With those reasons, the talkshow event which held by Prasetiya Mulya Alumni Association which titled IKAPRAMA Inspiring Talks Leadership and Innovation : Strategic Transformation Management were held on April 24th 2014 at Prasetya Mulya Campus Hall, Cilandak, South Jakarta.
Director of Administration and Finance of PT Pindad (Persero), Rita Widayati was one of the keynote speakers on this event. The other speakers on this event were the Mayor of Surabaya City Tri Rismaharini and Tri Mumpuni Wiyatno, the Director of Business and Populist Economic Institute and electrical originator for more than 60 remote locations in Indonesia. All of them were chosen because could represented women with an achievement on leading and inspiring for their surroundings.
Tri Rismaharini was sharing her experience as the Mayor of Surabaya city by did various innovations on many fields such as urban planning, health, education, etc. Trimming the bureaucracy through the use of electronic media was quite effectively improving services to the community in Surabaya. No wonder the Surabaya has got many international awards, one of them was the Socrates Award for the City of The Future category.
Tri Mumpuni Wiyatno was sharing lists of theories about Strategic Renewable Energy. How the renewable energy processes were applied in the community and could improve the life quality of the community, so that people could recognize its civilization, establishing the potential they have, and can eventually build a civilization.
As the closing, Rita Widayati was provided a theme of Strategic Restructuring. She shared theories of how to do a restructuring in company. In addition, with confident and optimistic, she was also shared her experience of becoming one of the youngest and the only woman State Owned Enterprises Director and non-carrier Director at PT Pindad (Persero) Board of Director. She was also shared her inspiring story when she was adjusting herself with PT Pindad (Persero) though culture and dominated by men but she was kept her professional attitude as women with heart and successfully adapted with it.
This event was successfully attracted the number of participants and exceeding the target which set earlier. Beside, the participant enthusiasm was shown by the number of questions that were asked to the keynote speakers. Hopefully, this kind of inspiring even could be continued at the future. (Anggia)
