Chief Technology and Development of Pindad gives digital transformation class in National Defence &

Chief Technology & Development officer, Ade Bagdja was a spoke person at the National Defense and Security Seminar entitled "Technology Disruption in the Defense Industry and Indonesian Cyber ??Defense Development" online on Thursday, February 18, 2021. The seminar was organized by the Bandung Institute of Technology with the Indonesian Defense University supported by PT Pindad (Persero), PT Len Industri (Persero) and PT Dahana (Persero).

At the National Defense and Security Seminar, various national figures were present; The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia represented by the Deputy Minister of Defense; Lt. Gen. Muhammad Herindra, M.A., M.Sc., Menristek: Prof. Bambang Brodjonegoro, Minister of National Development Planning: Dr. Ir. H. Various national figures who attended shared their views and provided material about cyber in the context of defense & security which in the future could advance Indonesia.

In this occasion, Ade Bagdja delivered material about PT Pindad's Defense Industry Revitalization through Digital Transformation. Digital transformation refers to the processes and strategies of using digital technology to drastically change the way businesses operate and serve customers. This also applies to PT Pindad (Persero), digital transformation is implemented in products, production facilities and corporate performance.

One of the product developments of PT Pindad (Persero) is Cyber ??Defense which refers to user needs. Then, the implementation of modernization in production facilities and refers to automation & robotic systems. In corporate performance, PT Pindad (Persero) implements digital transformation, for example through an online employee selection process, implementing an ERP system that integrates all lines and the use of cloud technology for the implementation of automation systems.

Closing the activity, Ade Bagdja concluded that Technology Disruption will be a driver of change both internally and externally in the company. In addition, cyber development and mastery must be utilized to the maximum extent possible to increase the competitiveness of the Defense Industry.
