CEO of Pindad lecture PPRA LXII of Lemhannas RI participants

CEO of PT Pindad (Persero), Abraham Mose gave a public lecture to Participants of PPRA LXII 2021 Lemhannas RI on "The Role of PT Pindad (Persero) in National Development" which was held virtually via video conference on Wednesday, 19 May 2021. This activity was attended by by 80 participants from various institutions including TNI, POLRI, Supreme Court, Attorney General's Office, Ministries, LPNK, Non Structural Institutions, Provincial Government, Regency Government, KADIN, DPD RI, Political Parties and Community Organizations.

Abraham Mose delivered lecture on the role of PT Pindad (Persero) in National Development. He explained starting from the independence of the defense industry, the ranking of the global defense industry, Pindad's current capabilities in supporting National Development, industrial capability development & strategic cooperation, PT Pindad (Persero) innovation, to PT Pindad (Persero) strategic projects in supporting National Defense and Development.

Pindad is a company that has two business lines, namely the defense and security products business and industrial products. In supporting National Development, from the current Defense and Security products Pindad has been able to produce various types of weapons, small caliber and large caliber munitions, special vehicles such as the Anoa 6x6 various variants, Komodo 4x4 various variants, Ranpur Badak, Ranpur Infantry 8x8, Tiger Medium Tank, vehicles Maung's 4x4 tactical, to producing products through the Indonesian Ministry of Defense program carried out by consortiums such as Rhan 122B which is a product of a consortium between Pindad and the Ministry of Defense, PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero), PT Dahana (Persero) and LAPAN as well as consortium products between Pindad with PT Lundin Industry Invest, PT Len Industri (Persero), and PT Hariff, namely Tank Boat Antasena. Currently Pindad is also developing cyber security to deal with today's war threats.

Meanwhile, in industrial products, Pindad has succeeded in producing various Excavator variants, Alsintan products, mining services, transportation infrastructure, as well as industrial & service equipment which includes 3 kg LPG gas cylinders, generators to the Stungta x Pindad smokeless incinerator. And in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, Pindad has medical products to support the handling of Covid-19, including the Pindad VRM ventilator, disinfectant gun cannon, and the Mobile Sterilization Chamber.

Abraham Mose then explained that in the future Pindad has a target to build and develop an Integrated Weapon System independently and produced to meet the needs of national defense and security. In building this Integrated Weapon System, of course, Pindad builds product competitiveness through technological excellence, innovation with the latest technology and through strategic partnerships.
