CEO of Pindad Delivers a Presentation to PPRA LXIII of Lemhannas RI

The CEO of PT Pindad, Abraham Mose gave a public lecture to the Participants of PPRA LXIII 2022 National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) RI regarding "The Role of PT Pindad in National Development" which was held virtually / online through video conference on Thursday, 12 May 2022. This activity attended by 100 participants from various institutions including TNI, Polri, State Institutions, Ministries, Provincial Government, DPRD, LLDIKTI Kopertis, Community Organizations and Limited Liability Companies.

Abraham Mose delivered a presentation on the role of PT Pindad in National Development. He explained starting from the independence of the defense industry, the ranking of the global defense industry, Pindad's current ability to support National Development and the introduction of the defense industry holding Defend ID. Furthermore, Abraham explained about the development of industrial capabilities & strategic cooperation, PT Pindad's innovation, as well as PT Pindad's contribution in supporting the national industrial ecosystem, various government programs to various sectors such as agro solutions, rail infrastructure, sea transportation and other sectors.

Pindad is a company that has two business lines, namely the defense and security product business and industrial products. In supporting National Development, Pindad is capable of producing various types of defense and security products including weapons, small and large caliber munitions, special vehicles such as the Anoa 6x6 various variants, Komodo 4x4 various variants, Ranpur Badak, 8x8 Infantry Ranpur, Tiger Medium Tank, 4x4 tactical vehicles Maung, to producing products through the Indonesian Ministry of Defense program implemented by a consortium such as RHan 122B which is a product of a consortium between Pindad and the Ministry of Defense, PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero), PT Dahana (Persero) and LAPAN. There are products from a consortium between Pindad and PT Lundin Industry Invest, PT Len Industri (Persero), and PT Hariff, namely Combat Boat. Currently Pindad is also developing cyber security to deal with today's war threats.

Through the industrial product business line, Pindad has produced various Excavator variants, machinery products, mining services, rail infrastructure, sea transportation, pertashop, 3 kg LPG gas cylinders, generators, to the Stungta x Pindad smokeless incinerator. The Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir directly appreciated PT Pindad's industrial products during his visit (8/4/21). During the COVID-19 pandemic, Pindad innovated by producing medical products, namely the Pindad VRM ventilator, which had 1,000 units contracted with the Indonesian Ministry of Defense.

Abraham Mose then explained Pindad's contribution directly to the community and government programs, one of which was through the Citarum Harum program. PT Pindad's product, Excava 200 Amphibious, contributes to the normalization of the Citarum River. Excava 200 products are also involved in handling various old disasters in Indonesia, one of which was the earthquake that hit Palu (19/01/2021).
