Representative of Langkat Review Pindad Industrial Product for Regional Needs

Chief Business of Industrial Product, Heri Heriswan, welcomed a visit from the DPRD of Langkat Regency, North Sumatra, represented by the Coordinator of Commission D DPRD Langkat Regency, Antoni Ginting, Deputy Chairman of Commission D DPRD Langkat Regency, Muhammad Basri, Regional Secretary of the Langkat Regency, Indra Salahudim and their entourage on Monday, September 29, 2020 at Directorate Building Pindad Bandung.

The visit of the DPRD Langkakt in the context of initiation to get to know and buy various Pindad industrial products.

In his remarks, Heri Heriswan expressed his gratitude for the visit of DPRD Langkat. Heri briefly introduced Pindad which was not only about defense products, security and heavy equipment.

“PT Pindad (Persero) mainly produces weapons and heavy equipment, besides that, Pindad is given the responsibility for manufacturing ventilators. In addition to ventilators, Pindad also produces BSL-2, which is a mobile lab for Covid-19 tests, a smokeless incinerator, as well as producing agricultural equipment,” Heri explained.

Heri hopes that through this visit the DPRD Langkat will get to know Pindad and can give an idea that the domestic industry has product quality that is not inferior to imported products.

Coordinator of Commission D DPRD Langkat, Antoni Ginting conveyed the purpose of the DPRD Langkat visit is for buying products and knowing how the heavy equipment produced by Pindad works. Antoni also explained that the plan to purchase heavy equipment was to deal with natural disasters in Langkat regency.

The Langkat regency government hopes that in the future it can establish better cooperation with Pindad, especially for industrial product tools needed in Langkat regency.
