DSCSC Sri Lanka: Pindad is a Promising Defense Industry

Expert Staff of the Board of Directors Hery Mochtady PT Pindad (Persero) received a visit from the Sri Lanka DSCSC Delegation led by Colonel C.A Wickamasinghe in the Auditorium of PT. Pindad (Persero) Bandung (10/9). The VP of Development of Windhu Paramartha also accompanied Hery to receive 15 other group members from various military units in Sri Lanka and Nepal.
In his remarks, Hery welcomed the entire group from Sri Lanka and felt proud to be visited by Colonel Wickamasinghe.

"Welcome to Colonel Wickamasinghe and his entourage. This is one of the defense industries in Indonesia, especially for the Army which we can say is the only domestic supplier specifically for the needs of the Indonesian Army, '' said Hery in his speech.

Colonel Wickamasinghe thanked Pindad for the warm welcome and expressed the purpose of the group's arrival.

"This visit is a form of our efforts to get to know the defense industry in Asia, especially at this time, namely Indonesia. We see that Pindad emerged as a promising defense industry and was able to make a series of innovative defense products. In the future, we hope to get to know Pindad further and open up opportunities for technology transfer, ”concluded Wickamasinghe.

After the remarks, Hery explained the history and vision and mission of PT Pindad (Persero) both in the business, industrial and defense equipment products that were independently produced. Hery also introduced Pindad's proud innovation product, the Medium Tank, and highlighted some of Pindad's achievements in the AASAM international shooting competition that won 12 times in a row.

In the last series of activities, Hery handed over the placard from Pindad to Colonel C.A. Wickamasinghe. Before proceeding to the plant tour, representatives of the Sri Lankan DSCSC Delegation delivered a message from Sri Lankan Ministry of Defense officials about his visit to Pindad which was then followed by giving symbolic gifts from Sri Lanka symbolically to Pindad. The group had the opportunity to visit the Special Vehicle facilities and display weapons during the plant tour (Tomo).
