Indonesian Ambassador to Romania visits Pindad, explore possibility to cooperate in defense sector

Indonesian Ambassador to Romania & Moldova, H.E Mr. Amhar Azeth and the Senator of the Romanian Parliament, H.E Mr. Nicu Falcoi, accompanied by the State Secretary of the Romanian Ministry of Public Works, Development & Administration, H.E Mr. Niculai Tanase; Indonesian Honorary Consulate to Constanta, Romania, H.E Mr. Emil Sirbu and Romanian delegates visited Pindad on Thursday, May 27, 2021. This honorary visit was welcomed by the CEO of PT Pindad (Persero), Abraham Mose; Chief of Technology and Development, Ade Bagdja and VPs GMs.

The purpose of this visit is to find out and get to know the defense industry in Indonesia and looking for potential cooperation that can be carried out by Pindad and Romania in the future.

In his remarks, Abraham Mose expressed his pride and gratitude for the visit of Indonesian Ambassador to Romania & Moldova along with Romanian delegation to Pindad. Abraham then explained that Pindad is one of the strategic industries in Indonesia and is under the Ministry of SOEs.

Romanian Parliament Senator, H.E Mr. Nicu Falcoi expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from Pindad. Nicu Falcoi hopes that in the future Indonesia and Romania can work well together.

“Thank you to the ambassador and Indonesian government for organizing this meeting. I am sure that after this meeting we can find several areas to collaborate in future cooperation, especially in the defense industry between two countries.”

The delegation of Romania then continued the activity with a plant tour visiting Pindad’s production facilities of Weapons and Special Vehicle division.
