Today, Pindad Departs Jakarta – Purwokerto Route Homecomers

JAKARTA – The new member of Board of Directors of PT Pindad (Persero) Heri Heriswan together with the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs/BUMN) Rini M Soemarno and other SOEs Directors, departs local homecomers in the Mudik Bareng BUMN 2019 Program "Mudik Bareng Lancar Asyik " in Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) area, Jakarta, Thursday (30/5).

Pindad provides one unit of bus transportation for Jakarta - Purwokerto route which transports 40 people. Meanwhile, the departure of Pindad homecamers from Bandung will be held on May 31st, 2019 at PT Dirgantara Indonesia with 4 buses for Bandung - Solo route and 1 Bus for Bandung-Lampung route with total passengers of 250 participants.

Before the departure, Heri Heriswan greeted the travelers who had been arrived since 6:00 a.m.

Pindad is committed in helping the government to provide a safe and comfortable transportation, especially for the people who really need it.

This year, 104 SOEs synergized to depart 250,474 travelers free of charge so that they could celebrate Eid al-Fitr with their families in their hometowns.

The Ministry of SOEs program won two records from the Indonesian Record Museum (MURI), which is a record of the most number of SOEs contributed in homecoming services and a record of homecoming services with the most destination cities provided.

This year, the implementation of the Mudik Bareng BUMN 2019 Program is spread throughout Indonesia with a departure point of 80 cities, divided in 34 cities in Java and 46 cities outside Java.

Minister Rini said, the Mudik Bareng BUMN 2019 Program is one manifestation of BUMN synergy in serving the people.

Not only that, the program is also expected to help divert motorbike travelers to bus, train, ship and airplane transportation to minimize the risk of traffic accidents.

"I am glad because SOEs can fasilitate people who want to celebrate Eid al-Fitr in their hometown. Thank you to 104 SOEs that have been involved in this program. This is a form of our commitment to serve the people, "said Rini.

Rini also appreciates the number of involvement from SOEs that always continue to increase every year. The number of SOEs that is participated in the Mudik Bareng BUMN Program last year reached 62 SOEs, while this year reached 104 SOEs. (Bani)
