Opportunity to Build a Good Relationship with Foreign Countries

Wednesday April 8^th 2015, defence attachés frpm 25 countries visited PT Pindad (Persero). The defence attachés delegations were led by International Cooperation Director of Ministry of Defence, Brigade General Sisriadi and directly accepted by CEO of PT Pindad (Persero) Silmy Karim at Grha Pindad which located on Pindads Head Office Bandung. This event also attended by Board of Directors and top managements of PT Pindad (Persero).

On his speech, Sisriadi said that visit of the defence attachés is expected could introduce a growing Indonesia defence industry to international defence world. The guests whom I bring today are the defence attachés who represent their own countries in Indonesia. I especially invite them to directly see how the defence industry in Indonesia works, said Sisriadi.

Silmy Karim also greeted these honorable guests visit to PT Pindad (Persero). This defence attachés visit is an honor for PT Pindad (Persero) as a company which fully supported Indonesia defence industry, said Silmy.  

Moreover, according to Silmy, some cooperation which being conducted between PT Pindad with some foreign companies will be run smoothly if supported by good relationship between countries through the defence attachés. Since Indonesia needs to increase their capability on defence industry, good connection with the military attaché also needed because the cooperation between Pindad with any companies from various countries need some backup supports, added Silmy.

On this opportunity, Silmy presented some data about production capacity of PT Pindad (Persero) which until recently, still a major supplier of defence and security products for Indonesian National Armed Forces and Indonesian National Police and explained some Pindads product development plan for the future. This presentation drew attention of the defence attachés to ask and discuss about PT Pindad and Indonesia defence industry with Silmy Karim.

After the event at Grha Pindad was done, the defence attachés got an opportunity to try the performance ff PT Pindads products by rode the 6x6 Anoa Armored Vehicle and shot using some weapon and ammunition products of PT Pindad (Persero). (Anggia)
