DPR RI Commission 1 Visits PT Pindad (Persero) Discusses Defense Industry Progress and Development

Chief Executive Officer of PT Pindad (Persero), Abraham Mose welcomed and received a working visit of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI) Commission I led by the Chair of Commission I of the DPR RI, Meutya Viada Hafid in the Auditorium of PT Pindad (Persero) Bandung (17/7). The agenda of the working visit of the DPR RI Commission 1 is intended to discuss the latest topics surrounding the progress and development of the national defense industry, various strategic cooperation, investment and readiness of PT Pindad (Persero) to support the Ministry of Defense. The Working Visit to PT Pindad (Persero) is in line with the scope of the duties of the DPR RI Commission 1 in the fields of Defense, Foreign Affairs, Communication and Information Technology and Intelligence.

Opening the entire series of work visit activities and discussion on all topics of progress and development of the national defense industry, Abraham Mose gave a warm welcome to the Commission 1 of DPR RI. Abraham Mose expressed his pride for the attention and work visit of the DPR RI Commission 1 specifically to PT Pindad (Persero).

After a speech by the CEO, Chief of Business Strategy Officer, Rizka Putranto delivered a presentation on the profile, development and future planning of PT Pindad (Persero). Rizka emphasized that the government need to give a full support and commitment to achieve the vision of PT Pindad (Persero), becoming a Top 100 Global Defense Company in 2024 by Offering High Quality Solutions and Products Through Innovation and Strategic Partnerships. One of the strategic plans carried out by PT Pindad (Persero) in the near future is the development of the munitions production line. In addition to munitions, PT Pindad (Persero) also builds upstream industries, develops various production lines and strategic cooperation.

The Chairperson of the DPR RI Commission I, Meutya Viada Hafid thanked for the remarks given by PT Pindad (Persero) as well as expressing admiration and interest in Pindad products. One of the interests of the DPR RI Commission 1 group is Pindad's latest tactical vehicle product which is the national discussion, Maung. In his statement, Meutya Hafid provided support to PT Pindad (Persero) including for the advancement of the national defense industry.

The activity was then continued by visiting PT Pindad (Persero) 's production facilities, which began with seeing and trying out various special function vehicle products. The delegation from the House of Representatives Commission 1 showed admiration for the Komodo and Anoa combat vehicle products that were independently produced and tried to drive PT Pindad (Persero) 's newest tactical vehicle, Maung. The activities of the House of Representatives Commission 1 group then ended by visiting the weapons division and firing using SS2-V4 rifles.
