The Agency of Assessment and Application of Technology Visit to PT Pindad (Persero)

Fifty persons from The Agency of Assessment and Application of Technology, Deputy of Agro Industry Technology Centre, were visited PT Pindad (Persero) on Thursday, March 25^th 2014. The group were accepted by Head of Corporate Secretary, Iwan Kusdiana at Auditorium, Directorate Building.

This visit was a part from Working Meeting Deputy of Agro Industry Technology Centre and done in order to know about the making process of the weaponry system products that were produced at PT Pindad. Furthermore, this visit was more emphasized how the product of a human mind could be a useful product, in particular in the field of Defense. Ideas were became reality with an efficient ways and resulted the amazing products. The making process of defence products were became the main focus of this visit.

After the company profile screening and the event at the auditorium was ended, the group was continued their activity by visiting the production facilities of 2^nd Production Department of Special Vehicle Division to directly see the assembling process of the special vehicle components to be a whole unit of a vehicle. Moreover, the member of the group was got an opportunity to try the performance of one PT Pindad (Persero) special vehicle division, Panser Anoa 2.

The display room of Weapon Division was the next place that visited by the group. A wide variety of weapons that ever produced by PT Pindad shown there, ranging from a pistol, rifle, sniper, and ammunition with various caliber. The group was seen enthusiastic when they got a chance to shoot by using the long-barrel rifle, SS2-V4.

The visit at Weapon Division was ended the activity of the group on that day. Hopefully, the knowledge about the production process could be a useful thing for the member of the group at the future. (Anggia)
