Visit of Bridge Director of Ministry of Public Work and Public Housing, Following up the Excavator P

Bridge Director of Ministry of Public Work and Public Housing, did a working visit to PT Pindad (Persero) on Wednesday, February 3^rd 2016. The entourage which consist of Ministry of Public Work and Public Housing and also Gadjah Mada University and Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology representatives, accepted by Chief Operating Officer of PT Pindad (Persero) Bobby Sumardiat Atmosudirjo at Auditorium Directorate Building of PT Pindad (Persero), Bandung.

Chief Operating Officer of PT Pindad (Persero), in his welcoming speech said that this visit is quite a reward because Pindad is rarely visited by guests which related to non-military produts, whereas the path of PT Pindad (Persero) industrial products has been started since 1980. “Pindad is very rarely visit by non military guests, although Pindad is balanced company, we’re not only produce military products, but also industrial products,” said Bobby. He also describes the brief history of the initiated excavator project of Pindad as a contribution to the defense and security in non-military fields. "Excavator is a plan for new products, new production lines, and businesses which for Pindad is part of the defense industry transformation program. Pindad want to support the defense and security of the state of the non-military side. Based on the assessment of business, commercial study, and self-efficacy, the excavator project is chosen," added Bobby. He also added that the government support push ahead the team of Pindad excavators to move quickly.

Hedy Rahadian said his visit was to follow up the matter that has been initiated by the Minister of Public Works & Public Housing, Basoeki Hadimuljono, relating to the procurement of equipment for the Ministry of Public Works & Public Housing and the readiness of Pindad heavy equipment, ‘Pindad Excava 200’. "The purpose of our arrival today to follow up what has been pioneered by our leader. It's important to ensure that the entire process is to run properly without some things that can cause problems," he said. And he highlighted that some things are intending to be known by the entourage are the obstacles encountered during the process of production, price, time frame for clear delivery, after sales service scheme, and readiness to lead the process of e-catalogs.

The activities continued with a detail presentation on excavators Pindad and discussion which contains inputs from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing team so that Pindad excavator project is capable of running as planned, with the reliability and quality of products, as well as excellent after-sales service and can satisfy the users in the future. The delegation also had a chance to visit the production facilities of excavator products in the Heavy Equipment Division and try performance Pindad weapons such as SS2 assault rifles and G2 handguns in Weapon Division.

Hopefully, Pindad Excava 200 can contribute to support all the projects undertaken by the Ministry of Public Works & Public Housing and furthermore, contribute to the construction of various facilities and infrastructure of Indonesia in the future. (Anggia)
