DSSCA Visit to PT Pindad (Persero)

The delegation of Defence and Strategic Studies Course Australia (DSSCA) visit PT Pindad (Persero) on Thursday, April 10^th, 2014. They were directly received by Director of Weaponry System of PT Pindad (Persero) Ade Bagdja at Auditorium Directorate Building. Also attended the event were Head of Corporate Secretary Iwan Kusdiana and Head of Quality Assurance Restu Purwowidodo, and Head of Marketing Department of Directorate of Weaponry System Sena Maulana.

The delegation which came from various armed forces around the world was led by Major General Simone Walkie, the commander of DSSCA and accompanied by Australia Defence Attache for Indonesia, Colonel Justin Rocke. This visit was aimed to know further about Indonesia defence industry, one of them is the production process of weaponry sytem products at PT Pindad (Persero).

The enthusiasm of the delegations about Indonesia defence industry were shown when they were asked various questions about it. Started from the specification detail and variants of PT Pindad (Persero) products, the cooperation with Indonesia National Armed Forces, export activities which done by PT Pindad (Persero), until the employees and company financial and management topics.

The delegations were continued their visit that day by visited some of production facilities and tried the product performance. The delegations were got an opportunity to ride PT Pindad (Persero) armoured vehicle leading products, the Anoa 6x6 Armoured Vehicle and Komodo 4x4 Tactical Armored Vehicle. At Special Vehicle Division. 

The enthusiasm was also shown by the delegation when trying the performance of some PT Pindad (Persero) weapon products such as SS2-V1 assault riffle and G2 handgun Combat and Elite series at Weapon Division shooting area. Hopefully, DSSCA visit could give a little description about the defence industry in Indonesia. (Anggia)
