Royal Brunei Land Forces Commander Visit, Strengthening Indonesia Brunei Relation
Yang Mulia Brigadier Jeneral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Royal Brunei Land Forces Commander, visits PT Pindad (Persero) on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2015. The entourage received by PT Pindad (Persero) Chief Operating Officer, Silmy Karim at Auditorium Directorate Building, Bandung. This visit which was a part of activities of Senior Interaction Program (SIP) Royal Brunei Land Forces at Military Command Area III/Siliwangi, was also attended by Military Command Area Commander III Siliwangi, Major General Hadi Prasojo.
"We are honored to receive the visit of Brunei Darussalam in our office. I hope this visit can strengthen the good relations that have been established between Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam," said Silny Karim. He also added, the spirit of PT Pindad (Persero) in the work is Indonesia, which is a large country in terms of territory, population, and economy. "PT Pindad (Persero) is currently trying to achieve various targets which are a direct mandate of the President of the Republic of Indonesia. Our spirit is also supported by the Armed Forces Commander, Army Chief of Staff, Secretary of Defense, as well as from our neighboring countries, one of which is Brunei Darussalam," he added.
Accepting the welcome speech of Pindad CEO, Yang Mulia Brigadier Jeneral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud said that the good relationship that has existed between Indonesia and Brunei through this visits, is expected to be closer. "The relationship between the two countries and the two armed forces, Indonesia and Brunei, is always close. We are visiting Pindad as part of a solidarity program, but the ultimate goal is certainly to make this relationship more closely, because we come from the same family, the same nation," he said. Brigadier General Aminan also said that he was looking forward to a visit to several Pindads production facilities of defense and security products which he called world class. Im looking forward visiting some of Pindads production facilities of your world class products which contribute significantly to Indonesian National Armed Forces success, one of them is to win various shooting competition, he added.
The event continued with a visit to several production facilities for some products of defense and security. In the Special Vehicle Division, the entourage saw a special vehicle production facilities ranging from steel plate cutting to assembly into the vehicle intact. The delegation was also able to see 6x6 Anoa combat vehicle, 4x4 Komodo Tactical Vehicle, and 90mm canon Badak combat vehicle which is in the process of certification by the user, which is exhibited in the Special Vehicle Division.
While visiting the Weapons Division, the Royal Brunei Land Forces visiting 1st Production Department of Weapon Division wherein all the long barrel weapon products are produced. The entourage tried performing products G2 Combat and Elite pistol and sub machine gun PM-2 gas operated, before heading left PT Pindad (Persero) to continue some of the agenda of the next activity.
Hopefully, this visit can foster good relations and improving the knowledge and experience to escalates the skills and professionalism of the Army two countries. (Anggia)
