KASAD Visit to PT Pindad (Persero)

Kepala Staf Angkatan Darat (Chief of Indonesian Army) or KASAD, General Budiman was visited PT Pindad (Persero) on Tuesday, December 17^th 2013. The group was arrived at PT Pindad (Persero) on 3 PM and accepted by PT Pindad (Persero)’s President Director Executor Duty Tri Hardjono and Director of Weaponry System Ade Bagdja at 2^nd Production Department of Special Vehicle Division building. This event was also attended by PT Pindad (Persero)’s Board of Directors, high level officials, and some related staffs.

KASAD visit to PT Pindad (Persero) production facilities was the first time since he was officially appointed as KASAD back on August 30^th, 2013. Beside visited PT Pindad (Persero) as KASAD, this visit was also as General Budiman introduction as Main Commissioner of PT Pindad (Persero) based on Minister of State Owned Enterprises Decree Number : SK-417/MBU/2013, replacing the previous commissioner, General (Rtd) Pramono Edhie Wibowo.

KASAD was received an explanation about some military products which were produced by PT Pindad (Persero) from President Director Executor Duty and Director of Weaponry System. Some products which were displayed were weapon products such as various type of rifles and pistols, small caliber ammunition with various calibers, long caliber ammunition and defence rocket, and some special vehicle products such as Cannon Panser 20 mm and Komodo Tactical Vehicle. KASAD was also got an opportunity to see a demo of AMX-13 that were being done in retrofit process at PT Pindad (Persero) and  also the demo of SBS Tank prototype which had been made by Special Vehicle Division of PT Pindad (Persero).

KASAD visit that day was ended with a photo taking session along with Board of Directors, high level officials, and related staffs of PT Pindad (Persero), in front of one of PT Pindad (Persero) leading product, Anoa Panser 6×6. KASAD was also delivered a message to PT Pindad (Persero) to develop various quality products which could support Indonesian Army performance at the future. (Anggia)
