Defense Minister of United Arab Emirates Visited Pindad

President Director of PT. Pindad (Persero), Abraham Mose together with the Board of Directors of Pindad received a working visit from the Minister of State for Defense of the United Arab Emirates (UAE Defense Minister), Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bawardi Al Falacy in the Auditorium of the Main Directorate of PT. Pindad Bandung (12/12). UAE Defense Minister also brought along the officials of the UAE strategic defense institutions, accompanied by the Indonesian Ambassador of Dit. Middle-Eastern Affairs from Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nurul Aulia. This visit is aimed to know the defense industry from Indonesia and launch opportunities for cooperation between countries.

President Director of Pindad, Abraham Mose welcome the UAE delegation and explained about Pindad's ability, "Welcome to Pindad. We need to introduce Pindad as a defense industry that produces weapons, munitions, combat vehicles and industrial products. We hope that from this visit, we can receive positive feedback related to business relationships and cooperation that we will build eventually. " stated Abraham in his remarks.

UAE Defense Minister expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from Pindad. The UAE Defense Minister also shared the goal of the collaboration, "We are very happy to be able to conduct cooperation. We can build strong cooperation through product excellence and collaboration. We hope to build a good and sustainable partnership with Pindad. " said the UAE Defense Minister.

A complete description of products along with Pindad capabilities was presented by Niken Arina, a staff of the Special Purpose Vehicles Division. Niken explained about special purpose vehicle products from Anoa, 8x8, Komodo and up to Medium Tank Harimau. This explanation attracted the attention of the UAE Defense Minister who requested more information about the Medium Tank and the 105 mm ammunition which used by it. The Director of Defense and Security Products Business, Heru Puryanto then explained about the munitions and the level of protection equipped in every special purpose vehicle products.

UAE Defense Minister then had the opportunity to visit special production facilities, watched the parade of special purpose vehicles and try to drive using Komodo tactical vehicles. Before ending his visit, UAE Defense Minister visited weapon product display and tried to shoot using primary weapons products namely SS2-V4 and PM3. (Tomo)
