New Zealand Defence Force Visit to PT Pindad (Persero)

Fifty members of New Zealand Defence Force Advanced Command and Staff Joint were visited PT Pindad (Persero) on Thursday, November 14th 2013. The group which was led by Chief of New Zealand Army Major General Arthur David Gawn was accepted by President Director Duty Executor of PT Pindad (Persero) Tri Hardjono at Auditorium Directorate Building.

This visit to PT Pindad (Persero) was a part of the group activity to know further about defence industry in Indonesia. This New Zealand Defence Force visit was an honor for PT Pindad (Persero), because PT Pindad (Persero) was chosen as the representative for defence industry in Indonesia, especially for land dimension.

The event was began with welcoming speech and some brief explanation about PT Pindad 9Persero) from President Director Duty Executor of PT Pindad (Persero). After that, the group was given a depth presentation about PT Pindad (Persero), business line that owned by PT Pindad (Persero), some products which currently produced, and the direction of research and development of some future products that were being prepared.

After the event at Auditorium was ended, the group was continued their activity by visiting some production facilities at some Division which producing weaponry system products such as Special Vehicle Division and Weapon Division. The group was visited the 2nd Production Department of Special Vehicle Division and they could see the assembling process from two special vehicle products of PT Pindad (Persero), Anoa Panser 6x6 and Komodo Tactical Vehicle.

The group was continued their visit to Weapon Division and visited the display room where they could see various weapon products which had produced by PT Pindad (Persero). They were also got the opportunity to try some of the weapon products performance by trying to shoot in the field test firing of the Weapon Division.

The activity at the Weapon Division was a closing for the group activity at PT Pindad (Persero). Hopefully, this visit could give a representative information about the defence industry in Indonesia. (Stevia/Anggia)
