Pasis Dikkualsus Suspa Enghar 13th Batch Visit at PT Pindad (Persero)

Eighteen students of Air Force Pasis Dikkualsus Suspa Enghar were visited PT Pindad (Persero), September 25^th 2013. The group which led by Major Sugiri were accepted by Deputy Director of Sales and Marketing, Triyono Andri Susilo at Auditorium, Directorate building. This event was also attended by Head of Engineering Department of Weapon Division and some related staffs.

This visit from the Air Force students was done in order to open up their knowledge about weaponry system products which were made by PT Pindad. The students were familiar with the Air Force weapon or anything that related to aerospace world. But, land weaponry system was a new thing for them. Therefore, PT Pindad (Persero) was chosen as the representative for land weaponry system manufacturer in Indonesia.

The students were given a presentation about PT Pindad (Persero) by the Deputy Director of Sales and Marketing, started from PT Pindad (Persero) organization structure, production facilities, some of PT Pindad business scopes, and also the weaponry system leading products which started from the developing stage until the many achievements that successfully obtained. The students were also asked some questions about the raw materials, PT Pindad product competency, until the production capacity.  

After the activity at the auditorium was ended, the students were did a plan tour to PT Pindad (Persero) production facilities. They were got an opportunity to visit the Special Vehicle Division production facilities where two leading vehicle products of PT Pindad (Persero), Komodo Tactical Vehicle and Anoa Panser were produced. Started from armored steel cutting  according user needs, until the assembling stage, supporting accessories installation.

A visit to Weapon Division became their last activity on that day. They were visited 1^st Production Department of Weapon Division and they could directly see the production process of long rifles weapon. The process of assembling weapons also they saw at the assembling room. Thereafter, they were visited the display room to see various weapon which produced by PT Pindad through the years. They also visited the shooting test area to directly try the performance of some PT Pindad (Persero) weapons.

Hopefully, all the thing that they got after they visited PT Pindad was enough to open up their knowledge about the land weaponry system and could be useful for them at the future. (Anggia)
