Visiting Pindad, BNPB Interested in Fire Fighting Vehicles

Director of Technology and Development, Ade Bagdja and the Director of Industrial Products Business, Heri Heriswan received a visit from BNPB (Indonesian National Disaster Management Agency) guest group led by BNPB Deputy for Systems and Strategy, Bernardus Wisnu Widjaja in the Meeting Room of the Directors of PT. Pindad (Persero) Bandung (18/10). The BNPB delegation including BNPB Deputy for Emergency Management, Dody Ruswandi and two representatives from the Hospitainer, Rolof Mulder and Robert visited to learn more about industrial products made by Pindad.

In his remarks Bernardus Wisnu Widjaja expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from Pindad and expressed his interest in Pindad's fire fighting products, namely the fire fighting vehicle, "We finally know, besides producing defense and security products, Pindad also has an attractive industrial product line, one of which is a fire fighting vehicle. We know that conditions like the current forest and land fires need special solutions, and that can be overcome with solutions from Pindad products, " Bernardus said.

Responding to this, Ade Bagdja said that Pindad's fire fighting product was present as a solution for Karhutla, "We have two fire fighting vehicle products, tracked and wheeled that can be used to extinguish forest fires, especially for crossing difficult terrain and requiring far-reaching water spray range ", said Ade.

Hospitainer Representative, Rolof Mulder had the opportunity to introduce his company's products in the form of modular hospitals. Taking form as a room module for medical needs that can be installed together and separated, this product is expected to open up opportunities for collaboration between Pindad and Hospitainer.

The guests then had the opportunity to review industrial product production facilities such as excavators, multipurpose tractors up to paddy dryer products. On this occasion, Bernardus expressed his admiration for the Excava 200 Amphibious product which has a poonton installed directly to the main body to facilitate operations on water. (Tomo)
