Again, Indonesia Became an Overall Champion at AASAM 2013
Indonesian Team, represented by TNI-ADST which consist of 19 shooters successfully became an overall champion at Australian Army Skills at Arms Meeting (AASAM) shooting competition by obtained 17 gold medals, 17 silver medals, and 15 bronze medals. More proudly, on the event which held from May 2nd-17th 2013, the Indonesian Army Team became a champion by using PT Pindad (Persero) weapon products.
In this year competition, Indonesian Team used some of Pindad weapon products, such as SS2-V4 JPMJ Rifles with 7.62 mm calibre, Senapan Otomatis (Automatic Riffles) or SO Ultimex 5.56 mm calibre, and G2 Pistol Elite series. On this competition, Indonesia participated in some of competition categories such as individual and team on riffles, pistol, and automatic riffles section, and also combination of both of riffles and automatic riffles.
Indonesia should face another contingents who came from 16 countries such as Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Brunei Darrusalam, France, Canada, US, Singapore, Papua New Guinea, Timor Leste, Philipines, UK, Japan, China, and Tonga. Thanks to a good team performance, the reliability of the shooter, and supported by the accuracy of the weapons that used, Indonesian team succeed to be an overall winner followed by Philipines Army at the second place and Australian Army at the third place.
The achievements that reached by Indonesian Team for the umpteenth time, was a great and encouraging achievements for the country. Plus, this success were supported by the weapons which made by Indonesian company. For PT Pindad, this achievement was a proof to the world that the weapon which made by PT Pindad, have a great quality and very accurate to be used. (Anggia)
