Exclusive Pistol Shooting Practice at PT Pindad (Persero)

PT Pindad (Persero) was hosted the exclusive pistol shooting practice for Perwira Tinggi (High Officer) and Perwira Menengah (Secondary Officer) from Komando Pembina Doktrin, Pendidikan dan Latihan Tentara Nasional Indonesia Angkatan Darat (Doctrine, Education, and Training Founder Command of Indonesian Army) or Kodiklat TNI AD on Wednesday, August 27^th 2014. Took place at PT Pindad (Persero) shooting field, this event was opened by a speech by PT Pindad (Persero) CEO Sudirman Said and also speech from Wakil Komandan Kodiklat TNI AD (Vice Commander of Kodiklat TNI AD) Major General Dody Usodo Argo. This event was also attended by the Board of Directors and leaders of PT Pindad (Persero) and  the Directors and Indonesian Army Chiefs of Weaponry.

This shooting were one of the human resources development program that conducted by Kodiklat TNI AD to sharpen and strengthen the skills of the Indonesian Army personnel in terms of shooting. The event was routinely conducted every once a month on Wednesday in the fourth week and this time were cooperated with PT Pindad (Persero) as the leasing weaponry manufacturer in Indonesia. This event was held as the brotherhood symbol between Kodiklat TNI AD and PT Pindad (Persero). Every month, the secondary officer for the rank of Colonel and above are undergo a pistol shooting program every military week that conducted every Wednesday in the fourth week every month. This program are already running and there are also a comittee to organize it every week, said Wadan Kodiklat on his speech.

PT Pindad (Persero) CEO, Sudirman Said said that this event was a good opportunity to receive critics and inputs about the weaponry products direct from the user, One of organization problem is inertia. Once the organization is having inertia, then any response from outside will not get a good response. Pindad try to not experience that, so we continue to hear, accept the inputs, and I thought today is a good way to get a pretty good feedback because the gentleman here as the Indonesian Army leaders will feel exactly how the quality of our products and Insya Allah those opinions will use as input for improvement for us.

On this shooting competition, 56 high and secondary officers were using one of PT Pindad (Persero) handgun product, G2 pistol Combat type. The participants were given 23 rounds of 9mm caliber ammunition; 3 rounds for correction shoot, 10 rounds for precise shoot, and 10 rounds for rapid shoot. The target were lesan viewfinder and falling plat. From this shooting practice, Brigade General Asep as the secretary of Kodiklat TNI AD was successfully got the highest point for High Officer group and Colonel Infantry Gultom got the highest point for Secondary Officer group. 

In addition, to introduce the weaponry brand and products of PT Pindad (Persero), the Chief of Technology and Development Officer Ade Bagdja were presenting the leading weaponry products of PT Pindad (Persero) such as rifle, sniper, mortar, until the multi barrels weapon Gatling. For the special vehicle products, was held the military vehicle parade that showing the quality of PT Pindad (Persero) products which able to through any grounds. The Komodo 4x4 Tactical Vehicle and Anoa 6x6 Combat Vehicle are able to climb 24 degrees and 31 degrees slopes, as well as Tank AMX 13, which is undergoing a retrofit process of Special Vehicles Division.
