Minister of Defense of DR Congo Visits PT Pindad, Discussing the Potential for Cooperation

The CEO of PT Pindad, Abraham Mose and his ranks received a working visit from the Minister of Defense of the DR Congo, H.E Jean Pierre Bemba Gombo at the Auditorium of the Main Directorate of PT Pindad Bandung on Thursday, May 11th 2023. The Minister of Defense of the DR Congo also brought along a line of Congolese defense strategic officials and was accompanied by Director General of Defense Potential (Dirjenpothan) of the Indonesian Ministry of Defense, Maj. Gen. TNI Mohammad Fadjar, M.PICT. This visit was intended to get to know the defense industry owned by Indonesia and to open up opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.

The CEO of PT Pindad, Abraham Mose welcomed the Minister of Defense of the DR Congo and the delegation and briefly explained PT Pindad's capabilities. "Welcome to the Minister of Defense of the DR Congo and his entourage. We need to introduce PT Pindad as an Indonesian defense industry that produces weapons, ammunition, combat vehicles and industrial products. We hope that from this visit we can obtain an understanding regarding business relations and cooperation that we will build in the future." Open Abraham Mose in his speech.

The Minister of Defense of the DR Congo specifically expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from PT Pindad. He explained the purpose of this visit. "We are very honored by the welcome that has been given by PT Pindad. The purpose of our visit this time is to review and explore the Indonesian defense industry and we are open to collaborating. We hope that this visit can improve good relations between the two countries, especially in the field of defense." said H.E Jean Pierre Bemba Gombo.

The visit was then followed by an explanation of PT Pindad's overall profile and products and capabilities. To review in more detail, the Minister of Defense of the DR Congo had the opportunity to carry out a visit to a special vehicle production facility to witness the parade of vehicles produced by PT Pindad. Before concluding his visit, the Minister of Defense of the DR Congo and his entourage visited a weapons product display and tried to shoot using the latest weapons products, namely the AM-1 and DMR SPM-1.
