Minister of Defense Prabowo Welcomes Deputy Prime Minister/ Minister of Defense of Qatar in Jakarta

Jakarta - Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto received a courtesy call from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense HE. Dr. Khalid bin Muhammad Al-Attiyah at the Unity in Diversity field of the Ministry of Defense, Jakarta, Sunday (4/6).

This weekend's meeting was preceded by a reception with honors. Minister of Defense Prabowo was in Singapore the day before to attend the IISS Shangri-La Dialogue and meet several other high-ranking state officials.

"Thank you to the Minister of State for Defense of Qatar and all the delegates for the productive discussions we had today. The insights and contributions that have been provided are invaluable in strengthening defense cooperation between Indonesia and Qatar," said Minister Prabowo.

On this occasion, Minister of Defense Prabowo also appreciated the educational cooperation provided by Qatar to RI to send Indonesian officers to participate in the Joint Command and Staff College. "This opportunity is an exchange of knowledge and increased understanding of defense practices and strategies used in other countries," he said.

Apart from that, Minister of Defense Prabowo also praised Qatar's ability to overcome humanitarian crises and increase regional stability. "Qatar's experience and resources in providing assistance and facilitating the peace process have proven valuable in strengthening joint collective efforts," said Defense Minister Prabowo.
