Pindad and Polri Agree to Establish Product Research and Joint Development

PT Pindad (Persero) signed a cooperation agreement with the Indonesian National Police (Polri) in the field of research, study and development as well as the use of the products and resources located in the Auditorium of PT Pindad Bandung (14/8). The agreement between the two parties is a form of close cooperation that has been established to improve the quality of Indonesia's defense and security.

The signing of the cooperation agreement was carried out by the President Director of PT Pindad (Persero), Abraham Mose and the Head of Research and Development of Polri, Brigadier General Drs. Indro Wiyono, M.Sc.,

In his remarks, Abraham Mose said that Pindad always creates innovation by doing research and improving product quality. Abraham Mose believes that Pindad has resources both in terms of human and technological capabilities, so that it can produce variety of quality products. Recently, Pindad released Excava 50, a mini Excavator that is able to operate in limited and narrow area that cannot yet be accomodated by Excava 200. For combat vehicles, Pindad has succeeded in developing the Tiger, Medium Tank product that is ready to be ordered by various Indonesian military units. In addition, Pindad as a weapons manufacturer has developed the SS2 V4 HB rifle that has won in various international shooting competitions.

With a target of producing at least 1 innovation product every year, the established cooperation together with Polri will support Pindad in research and technology development and support the national defense industry.

On the same occasion, Indro Wiroyo expressed his gratitude for the remarks given by PT Pindad (Persero) and appreciated the cooperation that has been progressed so far. "We are proud to work with PT Pindad (Persero), as a domestic defense industry that has been able to produce innovative products, both military and non-military products. I believe this cooperation will greatly benefit Polri and will be able to optimize domestic-made products. " stated Indro Wiroyo.

After the remarks from both parties, the activity continued with the main agenda, namely the signing of the collaboration by both parties.
