Indonesia Hebat, A Reflection of Readiness of State Owned Enterprises

Commemorating the 70th Independence Day of Indonesia, PT Pindad (Persero) participates in Indonesia Hebat an exhibition which is held on August 21 23 2015 at the Southern Parking Lot of Senayan, Jakarta. In the program whose iniator is The Ministry of State Owned Entreprises, Pindad exhibits several products of defence and military system, such as rifles of SS2-V4 HB, SS2-V5, dan SSX 7.62 mm, G2 Combat and Elite pistols, sniper rifle SPR-2, and SPR-3, submachine gun PM2 and PM-3, various calibre of ammunition, and also a training bomb of BL-125. PT Pindad (Persero) also exhibits some of products which is currently on research and development, such as underwater gun, dopper, silent mortar, special vehicle Anoa type Amphibious, and excavator product. Moreover, some of marine products from the line Pin Marine, casting and forging products, and the mock up of excavator are also shown during the exhibition.

The Minister of State Owned Enterprises, Rini Soemarno, says that  the exhibition of Indonesia Hebat is a reflection of SOE achievements in 70 years of indepedence that also becomes a parameter of readiness to face global competition. These achievements will be a basic capital for SOE to face global competition. Through this exhibition, public will assess how far SOE can go in facing competition in an advance level, says Rini in her welcome speech.

In line with the statement of SOE Minister, PT Pindad (Persero) through its renown products has been taking the nation to global level to affirm the nations independence in defence sector. Pindads weapon and munition have been globally respected and recognized, one of which is through international shooting competition that consistently won by Indonesian Army team. Some of the competition are Australian Army Skill at Arms Meeting (AASAM), ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (AARM), and Brunei International Skill at Arms Meet (BISAM). Moreover, Pindads special vehicle has also been recognized by United Nations for peacekeeping project in United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and United NationsAfrican Union Mission in Darfur (UNAMID).

Having officially opened Indonesia Hebat, the Minister of SOE visits several booths which split into three groups. During the opening, there are some attractions such as traditional dance and marching band coming from some of the SOE. (Translated by Frangky)
