PT PINDAD (Persero) Participation on APSDEX 2013

On March 20^th-21^st 2013, took place at Jakarta Convention Centre, held an Asia Pasific Security and Defense Expo (ASPDEX Expo 2013), PT Pindad (Persero) participated on this exhibition and displayed their leading products, such as : SS1 ; SS2 ; SPG1 ; Handguns ; SPR-2 ; Ammunition set, and some of Panser mock-ups. This is the PT Pindad’s third participation on this exhibition which organized by Defence Ministry of Republic of Indonesia.

Beside PT Pindad (Persero), this exhibition also participated by other 30 participants, such as : Aron Asia Flying Ship Ltd, Biomorf Lone Indonesia PT, CMI Teknologi PT, Dahana (persero) Tbk PT, Daya Radar Utama PT, Digital Identification Solutions Pte Ltd, Dirgantara Indonesia PT, Dok dan Perkapalan Kodja Bahari (Persero) PT, Dok dan Perkepalaan Surabaya (Persero) PT, Garda Persada PT, Indonesia Armed Forces (TNI), Indonesia Defence Autralia Alumni Association (IKAHAN), Indonesia National Force (POLRI), Indonusa Systems Integrator Prima PT, Infra RCS, Jaya Tri Ismaya PT, Kaltim Nitrate Indonesia PT, Len Industri (Persero) PT, Maju Mapan CV, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology RI, Ministry of Defense RI, National Search and  Rescue Agency (BASARNAS), PAL Indonesia PT, Palindo Marine PT, Persada Aman Sentosa PT, Saba Wijaya Persada PT, Sri Rejeki Isman PT (Sritex), Technology & Engineering Simulation, and PT X-Golf.

Beside the exhibition, on this 2 days event, also filled with Jakarta International Defence Dialogue with “Defence and Diplomacy” theme, which discussed about the complementarities between countries’ military and diplomatic activities. Military might needs to be coupled with political strategies and diplomatic efforts to be able to address the new international security context. In addition, defense and diplomacy can be orchestrated to enhance cooperation, increase confidence, and develop mutually beneficial relationships among countries and armed forces, which in turn contribute to a stable international and regional environment

Hopefully, 2013 JIDD could play an important role in fostering common solutions to these challenges and committing countries in the region to lasting peace. Fostering understanding and cooperation on political-military issues in the region is an essential element in carrying the initial successes of multilateral integration in the region forward.
