PT PINDAD (PERSERO) PARTICIPATION IN PASAR MURAH RAMADHAN 2014

As a company that always wants to make a good responsibility towards the community and to balance profit making and social contribution, PT Pindad (Persero) will participate on Pasar Murah Ramadhan 2014 event which held on July 24^th-26^th 2014 at General Ahmad Yani University (UNJANI) parking lot, Kiara Condong campus. PT Pindad (Persero) will represents Kecamatan Kiara Condong, where PT Pindad fabrication facilities were located.

Pasar Murah Ramadhan 2014 is a program from Bandung City Government to give charity to Bandung City citizen on Ramadhan Month and also to welcome the Eid Ul-Fitr celebration. PT Pindad (Persero) participated by providing groceries such as 3 kilograms of rice, 1 kilogram of sugar, and 1 litre of cooking oil. These groceries will be sold with 40% cheaper than the usual price so that the community will be helped to fulfill their daily needs.

The main target of this event is the community that located on 6 Kelurahan that lies inside Kecamatan Kiara Condong region. Those six Kelurahan are : Sukapura, Kebon Kangkung, Kebon Jayanti, Babakan Sari, Babakan Surabaya, and Cicaheum. About 4500 grocery packages will be sold to the community to fulfill their daily needs with a cheaper price.

Well created communication between PT Pindad (Persero) and the surrounding communities can be seen through their active participation to support this event. This event not only involve PT Pindad (Persero) employees but also the surrounding communities from many levels of societies. The member of Pembinaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga (Family Welfare Nurturing) or PKK at every Kelurahan and Kecamatan Kiara Condong, Karang Taruna members, Lembaga Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (Community Empowerment Insitution) or LPM members, and UNJANI students also give their hand to help this event.
