PT Pindad (Persero) Achieved The Zero Accident Award

Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration was awarded the 2014 Zero Accident Award to 1223 companies in Indonesia. The award was given on awarding night which held on Monday, May 26th 2014 at Bidakara Hotel, Jakarta. PT Pindad (Persero) which represented by the Head of Health, Safety, and Environment Department, Ruddy Triyadi, was one of the companies that achieved the award from Minister of Manpower and Transmigration, Muhaimin Iskandar.

PT Pindad (Persero) was accepted the award as the reward for showing a high level of awareness towards the implementation of work safety and health for the labors who supporting company activities, especially on production process of weaponry and commercial products which produced by PT Pindad (Persero). Furthermore, the award recipients hoped could increase the protection towards the labors which could affect work quality and prodictivity.

The implementation of work safety and health are the efforts to meet the rights and basic protection for labors which so important because could affect working composure, safety, health, productivity, and welfare of them. The principles of work safety and health implementation were the main terms that have big impact towards the investation value, product quality and quantity,  continuity of the company, and competitiveness of the country.

This zero accident award was awarded to 1223 companies, which increased by approximately 35 percent compared to the year 2013, which totaled 911 companies. The Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration was invited all parties to do a concrete implementation of work safety and health so that it would become a nation culture on 2015. (Anggia)
