Submission and Signing of Harimau Medium Tank Type Certificate

PT Pindad (Persero) successfully acquired the Harimau Medium Tank Combat Vehicle Type Certificate category: IMLA / TC / RANPUR / 010/2019 which has gone through a series of tests well. The Type Certificate is signed and submitted by the Ministry of Defense's Head of Feasibility (Kapuslaik), Laksma TNI Teguh Sugiono and received directly by the Director of Engineering and Development Ade Bagdja at the Indonesian Ministry of Defense Office, Jakarta, Wednesday (04/09/2019).

Kapuslaik Kemhan, Laksma TNI Teguh Sugiono stated that the design of this type of combat vehicle with operational restrictions and conditions listed in the type certificate data sheet, had fulfilled the provisions / rules of land worthiness based on the Implementation Guidelines for the Head of the Defense Facility Agency Number: JUKLAK / 544 / XII / 2014 .

Head of the Ministry of Defense, Laksma TNI Teguh Sugiono also said that hopefully the Type Certificate that has been issued can be put to good use.

"The Tiger Tank Medium Type certificate has been issued based on the existing contract. What has been issued so that it can be used according to its designation, "Teguh Sugiono said.

Medium Tank Tiger has passed the mine blast test, firing test, static test, dynamic test and other tests. Medium Tank as a result of joint development between PT Pindad (Persero) and FNSS Turkey is one of 7 national government programs that have been realized.

The presence of this tank is a testament to the ability of the domestic defense industry to produce innovative high-tech products in supporting the independence of the defense equipment maintaining the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia (Ryan).
