Pindad handed over assistance in handling Covid-19 & received a certificate of appreciation from Dep

On the 72nd State Defense Day, PT Pindad (Persero) handed over assistance in the form of 300 food packages & 110 boxes of masks to the Bandung City Covid-19 acceleration task force on Saturday, 19 December 2020 in the Central Room of the Bandung City Hall. The aid was symbolically handed over by the Senior Expert on Institutional Relations, Diat Hadiat to the Deputy Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana. Total assistance from industrial companies and other institutions in the city of Bandung was handed over as many as 750 packages of groceries and 44,150 masks.

Assistance was given to commemorate the 72nd State Defense Day organized by the National and Political Unity Agency (Kesbangpol), Bandung City Government and carried out offline with limited attendance by implementing health protocols as well as online by other participants.

Deputy Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, in his remarks said that the spirit of defending the country played a role in the independence of the Republic of Indonesia and is currently needed in facing the threats that arise due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

"History records that Indonesia can stand upright as a sovereign nation that cannot be separated from the spirit of defending the country from all forces starting from the TNI, farmers, small traders, fishermen, scholars, santri and other elements of the people. Currently we are being tested to face the Covid-19 pandemic, the threat is not only a health problem but also a direct impact on the decline in economic activity which leads to a threat to national stability, "said Yana.

"State defense action is needed because the handling of Covid-19 must be carried out jointly by all parties, especially building public awareness so that the healthy stay healthy and work hand in hand and cut off the spread of Covid-19 by implementing health protocols. God willing, with the spirit of defending the country, togetherness and unity we can overcome Covid-19. In the momentum of defending the country, I invite all elements of the nation to jointly implement the spirit of defending the country in facing the Covid-19 pandemic, "continued Yana.

At the same moment, Pindad as a partner of Kesbangpol received an award certificate as a token of appreciation for the active participation of all components that directly assisted the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic. The award charter was presented by the Deputy Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana and received by the Senior Expert on Institutional Relations, Diat Hadiat.

Deputy Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, gave an appreciation of the award certificate and badge to all components that helped handle covid-19.

"Thank you to all elements of the nation and the cadres of state defense who have contributed to the community, I hope what is done will become a field of charity for all of us," said Yana.

As for the various parameters of the Covid-19 risk map, conditions in the city of Bandung are currently in a red zone or high risk level. Therefore, people are urged to remain disciplined in implementing health protocols, wearing masks, maintaining distance and avoiding crowds.
