Prison Officer of Bandung Detention Center Shooting and Maintenance Training of Pindad Weapons

In order to improve the capabilities and skills of prison officers at the Class I State Prison in Bandung, as many as 102 Detention Center officers conducted shooting and maintenance training of weapons on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at PT Pindad (Persero) Bandung. Weapons & Special Vehicles Quality Manager, Hera Rosmiati received the group.

In her speech, Hera Rosmiati welcomed the arrival of the training participants who would be guided by Pindad’s team and advised them to adhere to health protocols.

This training activity for prison employees is very important to follow because it includes physical, mental and disciplinary guidance for employees to maintain, and train the ability/capacity of prison employees in using firearms, especially in terms of prison security in accordance with the law on the use of firearms.

Participants then take part in training on shooting pistols, rifles and weapon maintenance by implementing health protocols such as the obligation to use masks, keep your distance, and wash your hands or use sanitizers both before and after shooting.

The weapons used for shooting training were P3A pistol caliber 7.65 x 17 mm, the G2 Elite / G2 Combat pistol and trying the flagship weapon SS2-V4 caliber 5,56 x 45 mm. Meanwhile, firearms maintenance training includes the unloading and maintenance of P3A pistols which are already used by detention center officers in carrying out their duties. Detention center officers also have other Pindad-made weapons in carrying out their duties called GA 12 caliber shotgun and the 36 mm SAR 2 caliber 2 shotgun.
