Pindad Participates in the Ritech Expo 2019 Exhibition

PT Pindad (Persero) participated in a series of research, innovation and technology exhibition titled Ritech Expo 2019 in commemoration of the 24th National Technology Awakening Day at Puputan Renon Field, Denpasar, Bali (25/8).

Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Menristekdikti), Mohamad Nasir officially opened the Ritech Expo 2019 exhibition after the healthy walking event which was held at 07.00 WITA. "Hopefully innovation will always emerge from young Indonesian children in Bali. And, there will be innovators entering the world class," Nasir said.

Ritech Expo 2019 itself is the result of an initiation from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Technology which presents various research and innovation results in various fields of technology. There were hundreds of exhibition stands of research, innovation and technology participating in the 2019 Ritech Expo event, including the Directorate General of Research and Innovation Strengthening, the Directorate General of Strengthening Innovation, and the Directorate of Institutional Science and Technology and Higher Education in the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher education.

PT Pindad (Persero) together with a Strategic Industry BUMN consortium consisting of PT Dahana, PT Pal, PT DI, PT Len, PT INKA, PT Barata Indonesia and PT Inuki collaborated to form an integrated exhibition booth. In the exhibition, PT Pindad (Persero) exhibited the latest defense equipment innovations, namely pistols made from Polymer material, namely Armo V1, Armo V2 and Armo V3. In addition, there are also MAG 4 Black, MAG 4 Dessert, SS2 V4 HB pistols that have won 12 consecutive international championships (AARM and AASAM) and SS2 V5 A1.

One of the visitors to PT Pindad (Persero) 's booth, Made Palguna felt proud of the domestic defense equipment products. "It turns out that Indonesia is great, can already make weapons products independently, even can make combat vehicles and even tanks," said Made. The same thing was said by another visitor, Komang Alit, who was enthusiastic to try and take pictures with the SS2 V4 HB rifle product. "I just found out that the original weapons were very heavy, different from those in games or movies," Komang said.

Aside from being an exhibition venue, the activities of the 2019 Ritech Expo are a good moment in strengthening synergies, establishing hospitality and coordinating between Strategic Industrial SOEs. (Raka)
