Pindad and BSSN signed a MoU in the field of information and communication security technology

PT Pindad (Persero) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Cyber and Code Agency (BSSN) on Friday, March 26, 2021 at the Pindad Head Office, Bandung. The signing was carried out by the CEO of PT Pindad (Persero), Abraham Mose with the Head of BSSN, Lt. Gen. TNI (Purn) Hinsa Siburian witnessed by the Chief Business of Defence and Product Officer of PT Pindad (Persero), Wijil Jadmiko; VP IT PT Pindad (Persero), Budi Wisnu; Deputy 2 of BSSN, Akhmad Toha along with the ranks of BSSN officials.

The cooperation carried out includes the use of electronic certificates to improve electronic transaction security, safeguarding information and communication technology, enhancing and developing human resources owned by both parties, information exchange and other uses agreed upon by PT Pindad (Persero) and BSSN.

The President Director of PT Pindad (Persero), Abraham Mose, expressed his gratitude for the trust given by BSSN to Pindad in this collaboration. Abraham said that the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on cyber security could be beneficial and mutually beneficial.

"The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding will hopefully bring mutually beneficial cooperation in improving the quality of information protection and electronic transactions to realize work effectiveness, an integrated, directed and sustainable work pattern. Pindad is committed to continuing to guarantee strategic partnerships both domestically and abroad in accordance with the company's vision and mission. " Abraham explained.

The Head of BSSN, Lieutenant General TNI (Purn.) Hinsa Siburian conveyed that BSSN was originally a continuous code unit with the Ministry of Defense. On August 16, 2019, the President expressed his concern for the cyber world that Indonesia is facing cyber crime so that Indonesia must secure data, be responsive and ready to face cyber war, including protecting the national digital information infrastructure, one of which is Pindad.

"Pindad, when using SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) / internet in it, predicate it to be a vital national information infrastructure. Through the collaboration carried out by BSSN and Pindad for the protection of information and electoral transactions, it is hoped that it can create a safe electronic environment in the Pindad environment. After the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, BSSN had the opportunity to visit the Information Technology Division facilities, also to try out Pindad's defense products including weapons and try out the Pindad 4x4 tactical vehicle, Maung.
