Pindad and Waskita Beton Precast Sign a Memorandum of Understanding

PT Pindad (Persero) binds an agreement through signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Waskita Beton Precast for testing and sertification of PT Waskita Beton Precasts mounting products by using PT Pindad (Persero)s rail clips. The signing ceremony took place at the auditorium of PT Pindad (Persero) Directorate Building on July 8, 2015. Silmy Karim, the President Director of PT Pindad (Persero) signs the MoU together with Sapto Santoso, the President Director of PT Waskita Beton Precast.

The President Director of PT Waskita Beton Precast, Sapto Santoso, hopes that the cooperation could help the testing and certification of their pad product. The test will be about system testing that tries to see the strength of our pad and Pindads rail clips. We hope that we could pass the test and get the certification from Ministry of Transportation during the next stage, so going forward we can continue the cooperation to the next level, Sapto says.

Meanwhile, the President Director of PT Pindad (Persero), Silmy Karim, says that the cooperation of Pindad and Waskita Beton Precast hopefully could increase one of the targets that the Company currently echoes, efficiency. To achieve efficiency, it is indeed needed a balance between output and strategic partners. We want to put Pindad as a strategic partner for Waskita Beton Precast, we step ahead together so that we could anticipate your needs in the future, Silmy says.

After the signing, the entourage of Waskita Beton Precast, takes a tour to production facility of rail clips, which consists of shoulder, clip, rail pad, and insulator, at Forging and Casting Division. They also get the opportunity to experience the performance of military product, such as special vehicle Anoa 6x6 and SS2 rifle. (translated by Frangky)
