Pindad Held National Seminar of R-HAN 122B

In order to provide the needs of defense and security equipments (Alpalhankam) in Indonesia, PT Pindad (Persero) as a strategic State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) has committed to master the technology and development of the national defense industry in order to create national Alpalhankam independence.

One of the priority programs that Pindad has completed, that is the R-Han 122B, successfully passed various trials and currently in the certification process.

The seven other priority programs of the National Defense Industry are Missiles, Propellants, Radars, Submarines, Combat Aircrafts, and Medium Tanks.

The Director of Technology and Development of PT. Pindad (Persero), Ade Bagdja, stated that the success of the R-Han 122B consortium was the result of joint hard work.

"The 122B R-Han Program which was started in 2005 under the Research and Technology Consortium was continued by the Ministry of Defense. Pindad supports the program in terms of rocket assembling work that has become our expertise. One of the most thrilling things is during the testing process." Ade Bagdja said in the opening of R-Han 122B National Seminar at Graha Pindad, Friday (06/28/2019).

In his remarks, Ade Bagdja expressed his gratitude to all those who supported the success of the R-Han 122B consortium, including the marine corps that had worked hard to help and test the rocket prototypes so that good cooperation was established.

Meanwhile, Director General of Pothan, Bondan Tiara Sofyan expressed his highest appreciation to the R-Han 122B consortium and all parties who completed the 122B R-Han program in time, in appropriate quality and proper administration.

The R-Han 122B program is an independent development program that has been going on for a long time.

In 2018, the program for making firing tables and stage II R-Han certification for Phase II was completed well and on time. The certification process is targeted to be completed 100 percent on July 3rd, 2019.

From the results of static and dynamic tests, it is known that the performance of the R-Han 122B rocket was good and consistent according to the design target.

"We hope this program can continue to the next stage, namely mass production. The certification process has also been carried out together with the trial process. "We hoped that certification of eligibility will soon be issued," said Bondan.

Bondan also asked the Marine Corps to submit a proposal for the 2019 Domestic Loan (PDN) budget for the procurement of the rockets.
It was initially aimed for 2018-2019 budget year. In addition, the Marine Corps as a user, in particular, is able to use domestic products to become the pride of the nation.

In this seminar, there was also a signing of the Minutes of completion of the preparation of Shoot Table and Certification of R-Han 122B Rockets Phase II TA 2018 products between the program owners, Director General of Defense Potential Bondan Tiara Sofyan and President Director of PT Pindad (Persero) Abraham Mose.
