Pindad Exports of Munitions and Explosives
PT Pindad (Persero) will again export 7,300 grains of 7.62x51 mm and explosives materials as many as 4,030 units to Thailand. The release of the export of the product will be released by the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Rini M. Soemarno and the President Director of Pindad, Abraham Mose at the PT LEN Industri Office, Wednesday (10/31/2018).
Previously, PT Pindad (Persero) had been involved in export sales for a long time. Starting from 2006 Pindad began to intensify its exports to several countries such as Cambodia and Nigeria for assault rifles, Malaysia and Australia to handle riots, South Korea, Singapore, Timor Leste, the Philippines for ammunition, Laos for weapons and ammunition, and several other countries in the Asian region with average sales per year in the range of 5 million USD. Thailand alone is the current main export customer for Pindad since 2006 for small caliber ammunition products.
Pindad has also participated in the UN peace mission by sending Anoa vehicles as of 2010. Currently Anoa Pindad has spread in several regions, such as 24 units in UNAMID as a peace mission in Sudan, 20 units in UNIFIL as a peace mission in Lebanon , 4 units at MINUSCA as peace missions in Central Africa, and 20 units in MONUSCO as peace missions in Congo.
This year Pindad increased its export sales target, with plans to export G2 Elite pistols for Brunei Darussalam, Elite G2, Assault Rifles, and Ammunition for Malaysia, Assault Rifles, Ammunition and Submachine Guns for the Philippines, and ammunition, assault rifles and dragons to United States with a total prognosis of 2018 in the range of 100 million USD.
Pindad's newest product, the Medium Tank, has also been promoted in several countries in the Southeast Asia region and has received a positive response. We hope that in the coming year this product will be able to enter the international market for the leading Pindad in Asia in 2023.
In addition to defense products, Pindad has now also developed Industrial products, namely generators, electric motors, ship equipment, agricultural equipment, and heavy equipment such as excavators, which currently have around 7 units in Palu.
This export activity is a manifestation of our commitment not only to present the figure of BUMN at the global level but also to bring in foreign exchange and multiplier economic effects in the community both in the form of empowering local suppliers and employment.Guna memperkuat jaringan ekspor, PT Pindad (Persero) kembali akan mengekspor 7.300 butir munisi kaliber 7.62x51 mm dan explosives materials sebanyak 4.030 unit ke Thailand.
Pelepasan Ekspor produk tersebut dilepas Menteri Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) Rini M. Soemarno beserta Direktur Utama Pindad, Abraham Mose di Kantor PT LEN Industri, Bandung Rabu (31/10/2018).
Direktur Utama PT Pindad (Persero) Abaraham Mose mengatakan Pindad telah cukup lama menggeluti penjualan ekspor. Mulai 2006 Pindad menggiatkan ekspornya ke beberapa negara seperti Kamboja dan Nigeria untuk senapan serbu, Malaysia dan Australia untuk penanganan huru-hara, Korea Selatan, Singapura, Timor Leste, Filipina untuk amunisi, Laos untuk senjata dan amunisi, dan beberapa negara lainnya di kawasan Asia dengan rata-rata penjualan per tahun di kisaran 5 juta USD.
"Thailand tersendiri merupakan pelanggan ekspor utama saat ini bagi Pindad sejak tahun 2006 untuk produk amunisi kaliber kecil," Ujar Abraham.
Lebih lanjut Abraham mengatakan kegiatan ekspor ini merupakan wujud komitmen kami tidak hanya untuk menghadirkan sosok BUMN di tingkat global tapi juga mendatangkan devisa dan multiplier economic effect di masyarakat baik berupa pemberdayaan supplier lokal maupun penyerapan tenaga kerja.
"Tahun ini kami meningkatkan target penjualan ekspor, dengan total prognosa 2018 dikisaran 100 juta USD dengan rencana mengekspor pistol G2 Elite untuk Brunei Darussalam, G2 Elite, Senapan Serbu, dan Amunisi untuk Malaysia, Senapan Serbu, Amunisi, dan Senapan Mesin Ringan untuk Filipina, dan amunisi, senapan serbu dan rantis komodo," ujarnya.
Produk terbaru Pindad, yaitu Medium Tank juga telah dipromosikan di beberapa negara di kawasan Asia Tenggara dan mendapatkan respon positif. Kami berharap di tahun mendatang produk ini sudah dapat masuk ke pasar internasional untuk Pindad terkemuka di Asia tahun 2023.
Selain produk pertahanan, Pindad saat ini juga telah mengembangkan produk Industrial yaitu generator, motorlistrik, peralatan kapal,alat pertanian, danalat berat seperti excavator yang saat ini ada sekitar 7 unit di Palu.
Pindad juga telah ikut serta dalam misi perdamaian PBB dengan mengirimkan kendaraan Anoa-nya terhitung sejak tahun 2010. Saat ini Anoa Pindad telah tersebar di beberapa kawasan, seperti 24 unit di UNAMID sebagai misi perdamaian di Sudan, 20 unit di UNIFIL sebagai misi perdamaian di Lebanon, 4 unit di MINUSCA sebagai misi perdamaian di Afrika Tengah, dan 20 unit di MONUSCO sebagai misi perdamaian di Congo.
