Pindad hosted the first series of FGD of SOEs Holding Defense Industries

SEO Holding of Defense Industry (Indah) held a Group Discussion Forum with the theme "Alignment of the Capabilities and Capacity of Indhan SOEs in Supporting the Fulfillment of National Defense and Security Procurement". This activity was attended by SOEs that are members of the Defense Industry Holding - Defend Id which are PT Pindad (Persero), PT Len Industri (Persero), PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero), PT PAL Indonesia (Persero), and PT Dahana (Persero) in Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Graha Pindad Bandung, held via face-to-face and video conference. The FGD began with a Keynote Speech by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia, Muhammad Herindra & Deputy Minister of SOEs of the Republic of Indonesia, Pahala Mansury.

In the Keynote Speech, the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia, Muhammad Herindra expressed his appreciation to the state-owned defense industry companies that held this FGD with the concept of the Indonesia Defense Club (IDC). Herindra stated that the FGD this time could be a forum for the aspirations of stakeholders to synergize their performance in order to become part of the top 50 global defense industry companies.

"The defense industry, which will be merged into the Defend.id holding by the Ministry of SOEs, has a duty. Realizing the ambitious target to become the Top 50 world-class companies in the defense industry with TKDN achievements above 50% in national defense projects. " Herindra explained.

In the Keynote Speech by Deputy Minister 1 SOEs, he hopes that through this FGD, the defense industry can optimize its synergy. He also mentioned that today's FGD is one of the positive opportunities, where Indonesia is currently actively developing in various sectors, including the defense industry itself.

"This year, KBUMN has a vision through the defense industry holding to become one of the top 50 indhan companies in the world and it is not impossible to realize it. This can be done by harmonizing, synergizing between the Ministry of Defense and its defense industry through the alignment of its expenditures. Defense industry BUMN must also understand that national defense and security can be made a priority. "

CEO of PT Pindad (Persero), Abraham Mose had the opportunity to give a welcome speech at the FGD activity. Abraham expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the presence of defense companies in today's FGD. Abraham said that the aim of the FGD this time was to align capabilities and capacities in fulfilling Indonesia's defense and security issues.

"Alignment of capabilities and capacities in the fulfillment of national defense and security needs to be done. We ask for input, what kind of direction this defense industry cluster can take part in fulfilling alpalhankam. " Abraham explained.

Chairman of the Indhan Holding Organizing Committee who was appointed by the Director of Finance & HR of PT Len Industri (Persero); Indarto Pamoengkas, representing the President Director of PT Len Industri (Persero) as well as the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Bobby Rasyidin. In his remarks, he appreciated and supported the FGD activities and encouraged it to become a routine activity that could be carried out every 2 months, and was attended by all Defense Industry BUMNs.

This FGD was divided into 3 sessions with several speakers in each session. In session 1 with the theme: "Policy and Planning", the speakers in this discussion are; Head of Research and Development of KKIP; Lieutenant General of the TNI (ret.) Yoedhi Swastanto, Head of Sub-Directorate C Ditrenprogar Directorate General Renhan Kemhan; Marine Colonel (S) Yudhi Hermawan, Deputy for Political, Legal and Security Affairs at the Ministry of BPN / Bappenas; Ir. Slamet Soedarsono, MPP, QIS, CRMP, CGAP.

Next session 2 with the theme: "Technology and R & I" which was guided by resource persons; Research and Development Center for Research and Development of the Ministry of Defense; Laksma TNI Arif Harnanto, S.T., M.Eng., Deputy for Strengthening Innovation of the Ministry of Research and Technology / National Agency for Research and Technology; Dr. Ir. Erry Ricardo Nurzal, MT., MPA. Then ended by session 3 with the theme: "Defense Industry Ecosystem and TKDN Improvement" with the resource person the Director of Maritime Industry, Transportation Equipment and Defense Equipment (IMATAP) Ministry of Industry; Ir.
