Pindad Commemorates Indonesia’s 73rd Independence Anniversary in Bandung and Malang
PT Pindad (Persero) commemorated the Republic of Indonesia’s 73rd year of Independence by a flag-raising ceremony in the Pindad’s Bandung Headquarter and in the munitions division office in Turen, Malang on August 17, 2018. Executive Director, Abraham Mose, acted as the ceremony inspector in Malang, while Director of Technology and Development, Ade Bagdja, acted as the ceremony inspector in Bandung.
Following the ceremony, precious metals were presented to 22 staff that had come to retirement time between the period of April 30 and August 17, 2018. This was done to reflect the company’s care to the decades-long dedication shown by the staffs. Pindad also held a range of competitions to enliven the commemoration that was participated by the management and staff both in Bandung and Malang.
Pindad awarded educational tuition aid to eight students in elementary, junior high, senior high, and vocational schools on August 17, 2018 following the flag-raising ceremony. Pindad’s Director of Technology and Development, Ade Bagdja, symbolically presented the aid right after the ceremony. The students who received the scholarshipcame from Sukapura Elementary School, Babakan Sinyar Elementary School, the No. 30 Public Junior High School, the No. 12 Public High School and Kencana Vocational School.
The scholarship was related to the company’s Partnership and Community Development program (PKBL). This was done to show the company’s attention to children education, particularly those of the staff with excellent academic achievements despite their limitations in economy. Some of the scholarships were also given to orphan students. The City Education Office and the Provincial Education Office select the students through a selection mechanism.
Aside from scholarship, Pindad also delivered aid in the form of a well to provide clean water to the people in the Citizens Association (RW) No. 15, Babakan Surabaya village, Kiaracondong sub-district, Bandung.
May the aid in scholarship and clean water be useful to the people who need it and may the existence of Pindad could deliver good to the people around it.
