PINDAD AT THE JAKARTA INTERNATIONAL DEFENCE DIALOGUE (JIDD) 2011 EVENT

On 23-25  March 2011 at Jakarta Convention Centre, held the International Defense Dialogue (JIDD) in 2011 and the Asia-Pacific Security and Defense Expo (APSDEX) followed by 40 countries from the Asia Pacific. For the first time, JIDD 2011 held in cooperation the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Indonesia with Indonesian Defense University. JIDD 2011 officially opened by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, attended by Minister of Defence, Commander of the Armed Forces, as well as invited guests from NATO.

With the theme of Strengthening Security and Stability, JIDD Forum 2011 presented 50 speakers, which was attended by 1300 international participants, both from within and outside the country. JIDD aimed at fostering cooperation among participating countries in the face of perceived threats and strengthen defense and security, promoting and further developing international relations in the transfer of technology on defense and security in the Asia Pacific region.

President Director of PT. Pindad (Persero), Adik Avianto Soedarsono in his presentation conveyed the importance of building strategic partnerships and knowledge sharing between participants and seminar speaker. Seminar attended by representatives from academia, armed forces, experts and leaders in the field of defense and security both within and outside the country.
