Pindad Gives Aid to Cimanggung Landslide Victims to the Sumedang Regent

PT Pindad (Persero) handed over aid to landslide victims in Cihanjuang Village, Cimanggung, Sumedang Regency on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the Joint Disaster Alert Post located at Cimanggung High School, Sumedang. The assistance was handed over by Plt Junior Manager of PKBL & CSR PT Pindad (Persero), Yunus Soemantri to the Regent of Sumedang, Dony Ahmad Munir as a form of corporate social & environmental responsibility.

The assistance provided was in the form of basic necessities, medicines, vitamins, towels, toiletries, baby diapers and others.

Yunus said that he hoped the assistance provided could be useful and help ease the burden on the victims.

Meanwhile, the Regent of Sumedang expressed his appreciation to all parties involved in handling the Cimanggung landslide disaster.

"We would like to thank the various components who came together so that the efforts to deal with the Cimanggung Sumedang landslide could be handled comprehensively," said Dony.

The landslide that occurred on January 9, 2021 killed 40 people and displaced 1,020 people due to the disaster. All of the victims were found after the operation carried out by the joint SAR team for 10 days.

The yellow Pindad Excava 200 (20 tons) owned by the PUPR Ministry also helped in the search for victims buried by landslides.
