Pindad Signs Cooperation Agreement and MoU with University of Defense

Chief Executive Officer of PT Pindad (Persero), Abraham Mose and Rector of the Universitas Pertahanan (University of Defense), Vice Admiral TNI Dr. Amarulla Octavian., ST., M.Sc., DESD., CIQnR., CIQaR., Signed a Memorandum of Understanding (NK) on Tri Dharma Collaboration for Higher Education and Improving the Quality of Human Resources at the University of Defense on Wednesday, November 4, 2020. In the event In the same way, Abraham also signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with the Dean of the Faculty of Defense Technology of the University of Defense, Romie Oktovianus Bura, B.Eng (Hons)., MRAeS, Ph.D., CIQnR., CIQaR, concerning Education, Research and Community Service Collaboration in the Field of Defense Technology. The event was attended by the Chief Administration and Finance Officer, Wildan Arief, Chief Technology and Development Officer, Ade Bagdja together with VPs and directors of PT PEI's subsidiary, Sena Maulana and the ranks of the University of Defense.

The signing of the Cooperation Agreement and MoU coincides with the On The Job Training (OJT) activity for University of Defense students which is managed by Pindad Corporate University which will be held for 3 days.

Abraham Mose in his speech welcomed the collaboration between Pindad and the University of Defense as a source of knowledge about technology, especially defense.


"Pindad is the right place to foster, guide and educate prospective industrialists who will become future leaders. With the On The Job Training program, University of Defense students can learn from history, engineering, and how Pindad reached industry 4.0, "said Abraham.

Abraham also explained about the foreign defense industry which has implemented dual use technology. Pindad applies dual use technology by developing its industrial product business.

“Machines and human resources can be used for industrial products such as excava, agricultural equipment, shipping equipment, railways, gas cylinders and the procurement of 1000 units of Pertashop. This shows how Pindad utilizes dual use technology in the defense industry."

Abraham hopes that the collaboration with the University of Defense which applies a strategic partnership pattern can make Pindad a place to gain knowledge that will be used well in the future.

In his speech, the Rector of University of Defense, Dr. Amarulla Octavian, S.T., M.Sc., DESD., CIQnR, CIQaR expressed his gratitude for Pindad's hospitality.

"This collaboration is a good opportunity, especially in developing a new weapon system. Before coming here, we also held discussions for other weapons and other ammunition such as sea bombs and others to meet the needs of the Defense University, "said Amarulla Octavian.

The event was then continued with discussions, as well as the implementation of On The Job Training, Defense University student coaching at the Corporate University.
